Here are three tips:

  • First, connect with people from work. Who did you work with in the past? Connecting on social media helps you stay in touch throughout your career.
  • Second, connect with classmates. Who did you sit with in class? When you connect, you can see what your classmates are talking about on social media.
  • Third, search for people you know more personally. Who do you see on weekends? Connecting on social media can expose opportunities they know about.
Give connecting a try. You may not realize the doors that someone can open for you.
